The propaganda ahead of us after Covid-19
The Covid-19 has changed our way of living, and the fact of having to stay in our houses has given us some time (at least I hope so) to think. Think about what has happened, its causes and its consequences, although these are unknown to everyone.
And reflecting is very good. I have been trying to do it for five years from this Blog. But the important thing is that after the “thought” comes the action, and that consequently we decide how we are going to act in the future.
We must have our ideas a little clearer, because as soon as the maximum pressure passes through the Covid-19 we will be bombarded with propaganda from all areas to return to NORMALITY. To normality before the crisis, and to repeat our life patterns as if nothing had happened. And something very serious has happened.
Marketing has it very clear: “it tries to detect what a customer may need, and offers a product or service for them to buy it”
And that’s what they are going to do with us, try to get us back to being and consuming as before. That we do the things we used to do and that we buy what we bought before. They are interested in their businesses re-invoicing and earning money, regardless of the collateral consequences that emerge.
But if we have given some thought about this time, we may have concluded that part of what happened is because we did not want to see those collateral consequences of our accelerated way of living.
I think we should be able to resist this propaganda bombardment ( from companies, governments, etc …) and try to make things different.
Even the dumbest can learn from their mistakes.
If we want to have a less polluted environment and cleaner air, we will have to do something.
If we want to have a less unequal and fairer society, we will have to do something.
If we want everyone who works to have a decent wage, we will have to do something.
If we want to have politicians who do not lie to us and who manage efficiently, we will have to do something.
If we want …… and we could continue for a long time
It is up to us, with our votes and our way of life, to make things change for the better and in a different way from that in the past.
We have to be able to filter all the propaganda with which they are going to bombard us so that we continue acting “as before”. Let’s not do it !!
Hopefully we appreciate and take advantage of the time we have had to think, and that this reflection allows us to change our way of living, and that living in a “simpler” way we are a little happier.
Pay attention !! Be very careful with propaganda !!
