The climate change situation is getting worse
All the data shown by scientists indicates that the situation of climate change continues to deteriorate and the levels of CO2 in the atmosphere continue at historical maximums and rising. Nothing new or surprising.
And since the situation is about to get out of control, any means that helps to reduce part of the CO2 that we have is accepted, as is the case of the absorption of the existing CO2 in the air.
It is an expensive technological process, that consumes a lot of energy, and that is in the start-up phase in various locations around the world. Small prototype plants have been made to obtain results and see their future viability.
But as the environmental situation does not stop deteriorating, it is already being assumed that “whatever it takes” will have to be done to try to maintain the objective of limiting the increase in global temperature to 1.5ºC of the Paris agreement.

I have to admit, dear friends that it is a bit tiring for me to talk about this topic, because I have done it on several occasions and the situation continues to worsen due to our own stupidity and short-term selfishness.
But since this is so, I think we have the “obligation” to reflect on it from time to time, and not resign ourselves to leaving a dumpster for our heirs. They deserve something better, just like we once had.
UN Secretary Antonio Guterres says it and repeats it in all international forums, but politicians only think about the short term and about their re-election, so they say one thing in public and do something very different, and consequently we all remain in a state of drowsiness and very calm.
Some data. Last year, 36 billion tons of CO2 were emitted, which is the highest in history, and we continue to increase instead of starting to decrease.
Therefore, reducing future emissions will no longer be enough and we will have to find a way to “sequester” part of the CO2 emitted. And such a process is expensive and complicated.
Today there are no means to eliminate in a short period of time most of the pollution generated by transport, aviation, steel and cement manufacturing, etc…..
If we also do not change our consumption habits and our way of living and eating, the future of the increase in global temperature is quite dark.
Anyway, I apologize for this negative reflection, but there is nothing more foolish than fooling ourselvesf.
