Does our life depend on the 4 technological giants?
If we think about it a bit we see that no, there are very viable alternatives to its dominance situation.
Not long ago, the heads of the 4 largest technology companies (Apple, Amazon, Facebook and Google) were called to consultations by the North American congressmen, to analyze their dominance in the markets.
The news was widely commented around the world, but in a short time it will be a curious event, and life will continue to turn.
In my opinion, the greatest “risk” of the behavior of these large companies is that they have huge amounts of money to scan the market and buy new companies that could become their competitors, before they grow too large and can overshadow them .
In this way these companies continue to grow and become more powerful every day.

And although our life is more comfortable with them, we do not depend on them to live with similar comfort, since we have very valid alternatives that provide us with similar services.
Although Google dominates the Internet search engine business, we can use good alternatives that do not take advantage of our data as much as DuckDuckGo, Brave, etc … I use them and they work very well
Online sales are dominated by Amazon, but there are a multitude of online shopping alternatives. Almost all companies offer it and the services are generally very good. We can buy where and how we want, but we must recognize that Amazon’s service is very good and its fundamental “asset” is that they offer “everything” on the same platform.
There are also many social networks and ways to communicate with friends, and some like Telegram are more careful with our data.
Where we have it something more difficult is with mobile platforms. There are only two real possibilities: iOs and Android. And they exercise absolute control.
Any mobile you buy with Android includes a series of Google APPs that you cannot delete even if you try. At least I admit that I have tried and have not been able to do it.
I think we have these four companies for a while. They have emerged from the Covid-19 “crisis” stronger and more powerful than ever, and they have the technical and economic capacity to continue growing and buying from other companies.
But we have alternatives to not depend absolutely on them.
